The pizza was perfection made outside in a wood burning oven and the fries was seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere and friendly faces makes you feel like family. Only 45 min out of Sanger on a nice sunday drive was really relaxing. Highly recommed this small but cozy place.

I went there wanted a burger but they were doing pasta. Said it was a thirty minute wait. So I asked I I could order a beer and wait. They said yeah I sat at the bar she gave me a beer that was more than half foam. Told me she owed me another beer. I was like cool, chilling with my dog at the end of the bar. Saying hi to the wedding party. Then they told me I needed to leave because I was at the bar interrupting the wedding party. I was not they all thought my dog was cute and talked me. I was having a good time. But apparently I had to go outside. Dogs are allowed there by the way. But I guess not mine. So we went out side never got the other beer. You owe me beer Tollhouse honor that and I’ll change this to five stars but leave the description because it was really embarrassing.

I’ve been making the trip up here at least once a month — sometimes more — for the past six years now. Sure, there are stretches when the weather isn’t cooperating and I don’t feel like riding up on the bike or taking the car out, but I still find myself making the trek whenever I can. The drive up is half the experience — no matter which direction you come from, the roads are a pleasure and the views are stunning, especially when the conditions are just right. The food is always excellent — cold beers, great burgers, awesome pizza, consistently solid. After my meal I usually take my beer outside, which is a great spot to watch the cars go by and just decompress. Over the years I’ve had some great conversations out there and at the bar — with the staff, other visitors, even the occasional wandering turkey or friendly cat that decides to say hello. It’s that kind of place. The staff is what really makes it though — genuinely warm and welcoming every time. At this point everyone knows my name and I know theirs, which says a lot about the kind of place this is. Six years in and it still feels like a regular stop I look forward to. Highly recommend.

My dad lives in Auberry and has breakfast with his friends every Thursday morning, went there today to treat him for his birthday breakfast. It was worth it, the price was reasonable and the food delicious 😋
